On Friday, June 2, 2023, Anne Wilkins Bolz passed away peacefully in her 94th year. Anne was born on December 29, 1928 and lived a full and rewarding life. Anne was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma and attended Northwestern University. There she served as President of Delta Gamma and assisted in the Northwestern Women’s Athletic Department. She married Robert Mayer Bolz on May 19, 1956. Anne’s interests included her love of the symphony and arts, and her philanthropic endeavors including her involvement with the Madison Arts Center, Madison Children’s Museum, International Crane Foundation, Arts Ball, Art League and Attic Angels in Madison, WI among many other organizations that she supported and cherished. Anne was a long-time member of Grace Episcopal Church. She was loved and cared for by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Anne’s greatest joy was her family and cherished friendships. She is survived by her son, Robert Mayer Bolz, Jr. (Lynn) and grandchildren, Robert Mayer Bolz, III, Stephanie Jeanne Bolz (Eric), Karley Anne Bolz and Katherine Suzanne Bolz, her sister Louise Eberle, her nephews Mike (Karen) Eberle and their children Ernie, Matt, and Janet, and Brian Eberle and his children Annika and Louisa. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert Mayer Bolz, daughter, Sara Louise Bolz, grandson, Griffin, brother-in-law Marc Eberle, brother-in-law John A. Bolz, and most recently her sister-in-law Marian Richter Bolz.
A visitation will be held at Cress funeral Home on June 17th from 11 a.m. with a memorial service immediately following at 1pm.
