Stoughton - Anna May (Moore) Hawkinson, 90 of Stoughton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 17, 2017 at the Nazareth Home in Stoughton.
Anna was born in Madison on July 21, 1926 to John and Viola Moore. In 1956 she married Lloyd Hawkinson and they spent 21 years together. They resided on their century farm on Hawkinson Road in Oregon. She dedicated many years working for the University of Wisconsin at Lowell Hall. Throughout her 90 years she was an avid bingo player, loved having her cats around, enjoyed Saturday morning breakfast dates with her family.
She is survived by her son Robert (Mary) Waldron; her brother Walter Kleven; her grandchildren Tonya Waldron, Tracy (Mike) Alvey, Tim (Brenda) Waldron, Ashley Waldron, and Tony (Judy) Caruso; her great grandchildren Cody, Danielle, Chelcie, Brittany, Olivia, and her 5 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lloyd, her sister Evelyn (Charlie), her brother Lem, and her sister in law Betty.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Cress Funeral Home, 206 W. Prospect St., Stoughton. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service. A luncheon will be served following the services.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Agrace HospiceCare, especially nurse Tara, and also to the Nazareth Home nurses Jay and Anna for the love and care they provided to Anna and her family.
