Anna M Geitz

Fitchburg - Anna M. (Ann) Geitz (nee Richter) was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on December 14, 1931 to William A. and Christine Richter (nee Wilcke).   Ann died on April 16, 2009, at home in Fitchburg, Wisconsin.   She lived a full life, with residence in Philadelphia; Lincoln, Nebraska; Fitchburg, Massachusetts; as well as Fitchburg, Wisconsin, and in Europe, in Germany and Hungary.   A warm and outgoing personality, Ann had many good friends wherever she lived and- after her children had grown- worked, whether in the secretarial or retail fields.   Her interests included reading and traveling, gardening and listening to classical music, as well as acquiring collectibles over the years.   She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Henry (Hank); her children, Stephen (Linnette) of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin and Renate, of Calhan, Colorado; 9 grandchildren; a sister, Elsie Dixon (Frank); a brother, John (Lois) and a sister-in-law, Frances, all of Pennsylvania.   Ann was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William.   A Memorial Service will be held at the Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison, Wisconsin 53705 on Friday, April 24, 2009 at 11:00 am.   The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, gifts be made in Ann's name to HospiceCare, Inc., 5395 East Cheryl Parkway, Madison, Wisconsin 53711.
