Anna Bradley

May 16, 1923 — October 8, 2013

MADISON - Anna Yambrick Bradley, aged 90, passed away on Tuesday, October 8th, 2013 at Oakwood Village East in Madison, WI. She was born in Flint, MI on May 16, 1923, the daughter of George and Elizabeth Yambrick. She graduated from Northern High School in Flint, attended the Flint Junior College and received her B.A. and M.A. from the University of Michigan. She taught English composition and American literature at Mott Community College, working closely and with great passion with students of diverse backgrounds, and served the Flint community in many ways including as President of the International Institute. She enjoyed her retirement years in Ann Arbor, MI where she was an active member of the First Unitarian Universalist Congregation and a dedicated yoga practitioner. Her siblings John, Elizabeth, Joseph, Alexander, Mary and her husband Paul preceded Anna in death. Her brother George and sister Helen; her son Mark; her daughter-in-law Anne Hansen; and her grandchildren Ilsa and Peter Bradley survive her. Anna loved her grandchildren deeply. She looked forward to seeing both of them enter college and was very proud that Ilsa began her undergraduate studies at Earlham College this fall. Memorial contributions in Anna's memory may be made to Earlham in support of its Womyn's Center at: Earlham College; Alumni and Development Office; 801 National Road; Richmond, IN 47374.
