Ann Raasch

Madison-Ann M. Raasch (n�e Anna Mae Buchanan) passed away Wednesday morning after years of battling numerous health challenges, including successfully surviving cancer. Ann, born in Lodi, WI, graduated from Lodi H.S. class of '59. She studied nursing and attended various technical school education programs throughout the years. Ann was an avid volunteer giving her time and care to several volunteer programs including the Adult Foster Care Program, the Kennel Club, Greyhound Rescue, Oscar Meyer Theater, Olbrich Gardens, and many cancer run/walks and dog jogs. Ann retired from AAA after 33 years of service only to start her very successful pet care business, Auntie Ann's Pampered Pet Care. Ann is survived by her sister, Marilyn Tillman (Bill); her brother, Robert Buchanan (Judy); and many cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Geraldine Buchanan; her sister, Shirleyann Forbes; her brother, Douglas Buchanan; and two infant brothers lost at birth. Ann was most proud of her work in her pet care business, and of the many pets that she rescued over the years. Ann will be terribly missed by all who loved her. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 11:00am at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. 1201 Droster Road, Madison, WI with Rev. Bradley J. Homan officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial service will be held at the First Lutheran Church, 206 Pleasant St. Lodi, WI, Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 1:00 p.m.. In honor of Ann's memory, donations can be made to Dane County Humane Society, or any charity benefiting animals.
