July 31, 1959 — April 21, 2013

Much to the sorrow of family and friends Ann Brauer Kennedy passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 21 after a brief illness.

Ann was born July 31, 1959 in Madison to Doris and James Kennedy. She was the youngest of three sisters, graduated from Madison West High and UW-Madison. She was an accomplished cartographer and employed at Mapping Specialists for over 28 years.

She lived with her husband, Jeff Brauer, of 26 years and her son, Avery Kennedy Brauer, in the Bay Creek neighborhood of Madison. Her home had an open door policy for neighbors and friends. Avery's friend Tyler Mack lived with them for his last year of high school.

In her last moments, Ann was surrounded by her husband and sisters. She was preceded in death by her father (1984). She is survived by her husband, son, mother (Doris Kennedy of Madison) sisters Janet Kennedy (Madison) and Ellen Gullickson (Cottage Grove), nieces Erica and Michelle Gullickson (Cottage Grove).

A celebration of life will be held at 2pm Sunday, April 28 at Cress Center, 6021 University Avenue, Madison Wisconsin, Pastor Phil Haslanger of Memorial UCC presiding. There will be a visitation at the funeral home from 12:30pm to 2:00pm with a reception following the service.
