Madison - Ann E. Corona, 92, died on May 30, 2013. She was born in Madison on October 5, 1920, the daughter of Mariano and Josephine (Cellini) Sansone. Ann graduated from West High School and attended the University of Whitewater. She taught a safety course behind the wheel in Driver's Education at M.A.T.C. She was married for 56 years to Philip Corona, who died in 1998.
Ann enjoyed sports and was a firm believer in exercise. She entered in the Senior Olympics when in her seventies winning two gold medals and one bronze in speed walking.
Ann is survived by her daughter Patricia A. (John) Delany; two grandsons, Brian and Patrick; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five sister and two brothers, Magdelien (Vince) Vertuno, Rose (Vince) Tortorice, Jane (Vernon) Brown, Mary (Charles) Parisi, Geraldine (Paul) Paoli, John (Lucille) Sansone and Louis (Joan) Sansone.
Special thanks to Ann's physician, Dr. Michael Thom whom she spoke highly of for 30 years; to the staff at Wynwood Assisted Living and Agrace Hospice and to her niece, Josephine Ann (John) Baker for her loving companionship.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at BLESSED SACRAMENT ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2115 Rowley Ave., Madison, on Friday, June 7, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. DePorres Durham presiding. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at 1:15 p.m. at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
