Anita Kietzman Reese, age 94, passed away on July 11, 2014 after a long illness. Born on April 18, 1920 in Waterloo, WI, Anita resided most of her life in Madison. In 1949, she married James W. Reese of Madison. Anita earned bachelors' degrees in nursing and psychology from the University of Wisconsin. She served as a nurse, instructor and administrator at the University of Wisconsin School Of Nursing, also working as a nurse at the State of Wisconsin Psychiatric Hospital at Mendota, and at the State Department of Health.
She is survived by a sister, Carol (Hubert) Klinkenberg, formerly of Beloit, two daughters, Frances (Rodney) Boatman, and Laura (Steven) Bloy, two grandchildren, Michael (Kirstin) Bloy and Sarah Bloy (fianc� John Haverty), and one great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Anita was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Clara Kietzman, Windsor, Waterloo and Madison; her husband of 49 years, James; and a sister, Myrtle (Norman) Haglund, St. Paul, Minnesota.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 110 N. Whitney Way, Madison with Rev. Jason Zobel officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service. Interment at Sunset Memory Gardens will follow the service.
