Anita Rose Kuhner passed away on July 27, 2016 in Brooklyn WI. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and always loved the symmetry of her residences. She was buried in a family ceremony on August 1, 2016 in Verona, WI.
Between her beginning and ending sojourns in the Brooklyns, Anita went around the world and criss-crossed the U.S. many times, living on both coasts and ending up in the midwest. Along her way she programmed lots of computers, created much beautiful craftwork, grew gardens and laughed whenever she could find or create an excuse. And during all of her adult life Anita raised and nurtured children -- her own, a number of fosterlings and her beloved grandchildren: Delia, Max, Sam, Gavin and Oliver.
Besides her grandchildren, Anita is survived by her spouse of 43 years, Kathy; her daughter, Huckleberry (J.B.); her brother, Joel (Edie), her cousins cum-siblings Carl (Laura) and Ellen (Lenny), her cousin Eddie (Sheila); and Kathy's six siblings and their families. Her family being as eclectic as her life, she is survived by many friends who she considered family as well.
After 72 years of touching lives and hearts, she will be missed. Her passing leaves an empty spot in the hearts of her loved ones. She will be remembered as a loving, goofy, brilliant woman with a heart of gold and a gleam of mischief in her eye by a large and loving group of family and friends.
Please share your memories of Anita.
