In Loving Memory

Alta Mae "Amy" Baldwin, age 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 17, 2015. She was born in Viola on June 22, 1929 to Lorenzo Dow and Zella (Ogden) Pellett. She married Frank Baldwin on March 3, 1951 in Viola.

Amy graduated as valedictorian from Viola High School in 1946, followed by a B.A. with honors from the University of Wisconsin- Madison in 1950. She was inducted into 2 honorary sororities, and loved singing in the University Women's Chorus. Amy devoted her energies to family and friends. She shared her passion for knitting with her students at MATC for many years. Singing with the United Methodist Church choir brought her joy for many decades.

Amy is survived by her husband of 64 years, Frank; sons Kyle (Shaune Smith), Trevor (Karen) and daughter Kerry (Horst) Jedele; grandchildren Barbara, Casey, Andrea, Dana and Erik; and sister Ardie. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Ava and brother Joe.

Memorial service will be held at Sun Prairie United Methodist Church, 702 North Street, Sun Prairie on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held at Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie from 5:00pm -7:00pm, Thursday, October 22, 2015 and at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's research.
