VERONA- Allen (Buckshot) Linster, age 92, died of complications of Parkinson's disease on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, in Madison, Wisconsin.
He was born in Greenwood, Wisconsin, and graduated from Neillsville High School. His college years were interrupted by World War II, where he served as a corporal in the Twelfth Armored Division of the US Army. He returned to UW-River Falls after the war and graduated with a BS in Agricultural Education. He married Dorothy Vine in 1948, and they moved to Clear Lake, WI, where Allen was the high school agriculture teacher for five years. They moved to Plymouth WI, where he taught agriculture and served as vice principal of Plymouth High School. In 1973 Allen moved to Madison and served as an educational consultant for the State Board of Vocational and Technical Schools. He retired in 1986 and enjoyed golfing, traveling, fishing, and doing volunteer work.
Allen is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children Amy (Ray) and David; grandchildren Carrie (Shawn), Tait (Sarah), Lindsey (Chad), Meredith and Anders; and 7 great-grandchildren.
A private service was held at Coventry Village.
