Alice E. Haley

Alice E. Haley was reunited with her husband, George, on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at the age of 88. She was born on January 18, 1937 in Viola, WI to Herbert and Opal (Hoke) Smith. She married George B. Haley on April 30, 1960 in Germany while George was in the United States Air Force.

Alice and George were residents of the Sun Prairie community for over 50 years. She was a dedicated member of Sun Prairie United Methodist Church and was a well-known throughout the Sun Prairie community. Alice never knew a stranger, and she never met someone she didn’t like. She embraced humility and kindness throughout her life.

Alice is survived by her children: Kurt (Terry) Feavel, Craig Haley, and Vaughn Haley; grandchildren Tara (Eric) Zuehlke, Sean Feavel, Justin Feavel, Candice Frasure, Garrett Hazelton, Brett (fiancée Maggie Dimpfl) Haley, Nikolaus (fiancée Kaley Dorhorst) Haley, and Elizabeth (Ryan) Geisen; and great-grandchildren Ryan Feavel, Haylie Wyeh, Maddie Wyeh, Brinllee Luick, Avree Luick, and Hazel Hazelton, Evan Frasure, Keira Foltz, Dayton Zuehlke, Dane Zuehlke, Dillon Zuehlke, Hudson Haley, Hayden Haley, Harper Geisen, Graham Geisen, Lennon Geisen, and Jennings Geisen; brothers Edgar “Smitty” (Linda) Smith, Jay (Kathy) Smith, and Dean (Vicky Costa) Smith; sister Tonna Smith; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband George Haley; parents Herbert Smith and Opal (the late Ted) Baumgartner; daughters-in-law Connie Haley and Beth Haley; and grandson Marcus Haley; siblings Margo (the late Tom) Frisbee, Sharon Stanton, and Marsha (the late Duane) Pache.

Alice will be brought to her final place of rest in a private ceremony at Highland Memory Gardens in Cottage Grove. 

Friends and family will gather at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Nitty Gritty, 315 E. Linnerud Dr, Sun Prairie, WI 53590 for a celebration of Alice’s life.
