Alfred Frank

April 14, 1928 — June 20, 2012

MADISON--Alfred (Aly) age 84, passed away on June 20, 2012 at Sebring Assisted Living in Madison. He was born in Madison Wisconsin and graduated from Madison West High School. He later graduated from University of Michigan with a degree in business and economics. He went to work in the family business and was in charge of the Anheuser Busch Distributorship. Over the years he won many awards as the top distributor in the Midwest. Aly was a long time member of Temple Beth El and a life time member of Madison Rotary.

Aly met his wife, Maxa dai, in Madison and they were married March 28, 1953. They had 54 wonderful years together spending time traveling and enjoying time with their many friends. Outside of working hard he spent time playing tennis with his friends, swimming, playing blackjack and vacationing in Florida. After moving to Sebring he often requested a group outing to HoChunk. Unfortunately his request was denied but then his friends stepped in and took him on a road trip.

Aly was a family man. Everything was for his family and he took great pride in his grandchildren. He also had a big heart for others. If someone was in trouble he would always try and lend a helping hand. Aly was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Staff from Sebring and Agrace Hospice often commented on his wonderful smile, sense of humor and what a joy he was to be with even when he was going through difficult times dealing with Parkinson's Disease.

Aly is survived by his brother Harvey, sister-in-law Dana lin (Al) Bernstein, his son Robert (Jeanne) Frank, his daughter Lisa dai (Stephen) Jacobs, his four grandchildren Alex (Nicole) Frank, Samantha Frank, Lauren and Andrew Jacobs.

Alfred is preceded in death by his parents Sol and Rose Frank, brothers Lloyd and Sherman, stepmother Ethel Frank, and the love of his life, Maxa dai.

Thank you to the neurology department at UW Hospital and a very special thank you to the staff at Sebring for the wonderful care they have given Aly for the past five years. We are grateful for all the kindness, love and respect they showed him. We also want to thank Agrace Hospice for their assistance over the past 18 months. Aly's quality of life at Sebring was greatly enhanced by their care.

A Memorial Service will be held at Temple Beth El, 2702 Arbor Drive on Wednesday, June 27 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a visitation in the Temple Social Hall. A private family burial will be held prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sebring Assisted Care, Temple Beth El or Agrace Hospice.

We will miss you Papa
