Alberta Piraino

Waunakee - Alberta Joan Piraino, 79, the daughter of Albert and Mina Kurz of Germany died peacefully and comfortably in her home in Waunakee on Wednesday, February 10 at 5:15 p.m. She was the beloved wife of Frank Piraino, 90. They were married in St. Rita's church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 27, 1953 and were devoted to each other for 62 years. She left 4 children, Nancy Rose (Charlie), Frank Jr., Carol (Michael) and Anthony (Mary); 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. On her mother's side she is survived by her nieces Susan, Sally and Kathleen. She graduated from North Division High School in Milwaukee and attended college at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. She loved the outdoors, gardening, traveling, was an avid book reader, a seamstress; and most of all loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and extended family. Her greatest interest and activities were serving her loving devotion to her husband and her family. She will be forever remembered by all who knew her kindness, loving and caring spirit and her cheerful and beautiful smile. She showered donations to many charitable and children organizations. No words can describe her loss to her husband and family. She will live forever in their hearts, words and prayers.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 15, 2016 at WINN CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 5785 Hwy Q, Waunakee. A time of reflection and sharing memories will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at ST JOHN THE BAPTIST CATHOLIC CHURCH, 209 South Street, Waunakee, with Msgr. James Gunn presiding. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at church on Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the Waunakee Public Library, 710 South Street, Waunakee, WI 53597. The family would like to thank Agrace HospiceCare and Villa Nursing Home for their wonderful care and comfort.
