Albert Jeardeau

April 2, 1933 — September 10, 2013

Madison - Albert (Al) Joseph Jeardeau, age 80, passed away September 10, 2013 in the loving arms of his daughter-in-law, Joyce Jeardeau.

Al was born to Arthur and Martha (Edge) Jeardeau on April 2, 1933. He was raised on a farm in Southwestern Wisconsin and spent two years in the army following high school. He met his wife Jackie on a blind date and they were married July 6, 1957.

Al was an avid ham radio operator who communicated around the world with call sign WB9BRF and morse code. Al worked for Oscar Mayer as a Stationary Engineer in the Power Plant for over 35 years.

Al was a man respected and loved by all who knew him. Al fought a decades long medical condition that raised havoc with his body, but never broke his spirit. Every day he laughed and joked with those around him. And he loved and cared for his family till the very last moment.

Al is survived by his devoted wife, Jackie, three children, son David Jeardeau (Joyce) of Madison, WI, daughter Diana Houston (David Eggen) of Maple Grove, MN and daughter Geri Minard (Rick) of Newberry, MI, two granddaughters, Amy Jeardeau (Keaka) and Stacey Porter (Patrick), and seven great grandchildren, Dennis, PJ, Samantha, Grace, Haley, Victoria, and Francheska .
