Albert Hund

McFarland - Albert LeRoy Hund, age 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 25, 2016. He was born on April 1, 1927, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, son of Preston and Golda (Dishong) Hund. He married Bertha Ogle on February, 11, 1950 in Oklahoma.

Al grew up around Oklahoma City and followed his career to Rockford Illinois and then to McFarland where he has lived since 1962. He worked for the Badger Pipeline Corp., for 42 years and retired in 1988. He was the president of Southern Wisconsin Old Time Fiddlers Association. He enjoyed restoring violins and traveling in his RV.

Al is survived by his son, Bruce Hund; son in-law, Harold Rivers; grandchildren Matthew Hund, Katherine (Barrett) Wexler, and Laurel Hund; brother Wilbur (Pam) Hund; foster daughter Sandra Swenby; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 66 years Bertha; daughter, Leanna; son, Dale; daughter-in-law Kristi, 3 brothers, Harold, Carl, and John.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Cress Funeral Home, 5801 HWY 51, McFarland, WI. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of service on Tuesday. Al will be laid to rest next to his wife at the Town of Dunn Burying Grounds. Following the services, family and friends are invited to a luncheon at the American Legion Post 534, McFarland.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or Agrace HospiceCare.
