Alan Petersen

Alan "Pete" "Al" Petersen, age 79, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, August 22, 2014. He was born on August 16, 1935 in Niagara, Wisconsin, the son of Fred and Beaulah (Whaley) Petersen. Al was united in marriage to Marjorie Woodbridge on August 27, 1956 in Gulfport, Mississippi. After graduating from Niagara High School, Al served in the US Navy for 30 years. He worked for the VA Hospital in Milwaukee and then later relocated to Madison and worked for Cub Foods. Al enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, roller blading and spending time with his children. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Milwaukee. Al is survived by his wife of 57 years Marge; daughter Helen Marie Petersen; sister Barbara Kowalski and his special friend Diane Rees of Summerland, B.C. He was preceded in death by his son Scott Alan Petersen and his daughter Cindy Louise Petersen. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Al. Al requested no services be held.
