Adam Gritzmacker

Madison - Adam M. Gritzmacker, age 23, had taken his own life on Sunday, February 12, 2017. He was born on March 28, 1993, in Madison, the son of Paul Gritzmacker and Kimberly Hartman. In 2011, Adam graduated from Madison East High School. Adam currently was working for KleenMark in their commercial cleaning department. In his spare time, Adam loved to eat, he also enjoyed listening to loud music, skateboarding, playing video games, his stereo equipment and taking care of the truck that his father had left to him. Adam will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Adam is survived by his grandma, Kay Gritzmacker; his mother, Kimberly (Scott) Blackney; his two siblings, Austin Kirch and Bailey Hartman; nephew, Carter Morrison; grandmother, Sharyn (Doug) Erickson; aunt, Laura Gritzmacker; two uncles, Mark (Ann) Erickson and Mike Hartman; and several cousins including, Brittany Martin, Stephanie Martin and Jill Showers. Adam is also survived by many other loving family and skateboarding friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Gritzmacker on February 27, 2015; grandfather, Reggie Gritzmacker; and great grandparents, Delores and Jerome Erickson.

Funeral services will be held at CRESS FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICE, 3325 E. Washington Ave., Madison, WI on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 11:00 am with Pastor Sonja Heiser officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 9:00 am until the time of service. Graveside services will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Monona, Wisconsin.
