Aaron Epstein

Madison - Aaron Epstein, age 85, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Heritage Senior Living in Monona. He was born on September 5, 1926 in Madison, the son of Solomon and Belle (Schuster) Epstein. Aaron worked at Madison Freight Systems for over 35 years until his retirement. He moved to Florida after his retirement with his wife Karola where they lived for over 20 years. Aaron moved back to the Midwest in 2010.

Survivors include his wife, Karola Epstein; his children, Barbara (Terry) Krause, Nancy (Dennis) Lieder and Larry (Patty) Epstein; step children, Betty Behr, Howard Frankenthal, Sheldon (Marilyn) Frankenthal and Stuart (Kim) Frankenthal; 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a sister, Eleanor 'Bunny" Epstein; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Shirley Setlick Epstein and a brother, Norman Arthur Epstein.

A funeral service will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 6021 University Ave, Madison, on Monday, April 9, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. with Rabbi Joshua Ben Gideon officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison.
