A. Lynch

SUN PRAIRIE - A. "Coy" Lynch, age 86, passed away on November 7, 2016, at Columbus Health & Rehabilitation Center in Columbus. She was born on October 10, 1930, in Alexis, Illinois, the daughter of John H. and Annabelle (Sharer) Elder. On November 12, 1953, she was united in marriage to Virgil Lynch in Alexis, Illinois. Coy worked for JCPenny and American Family Insurance. After retiring, she volunteered at Agrace, The Colonial Club in Sun Prairie and many other organizations. She enjoyed a good garage sale and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Julie (Brian) Shapiro, Pat (Wendy) Lynch, Bill (Elizabeth) Lynch and Mary (Edward) Hyduk; 10 grandchildren; great-granddaughter; sister, Joan Sperry of Alexis, IL; brother, John K. (Judy) Elder of Alexis, IL; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Coy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sisters, Annie Medhurst and Joyce Combs.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at SACRED HEARTS OF JESUS AND MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 221 Columbus St., Sun Prairie on Friday, November 11, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Chahm Gahng presiding. Burial will take place at St. Bridget Cemetery in Ridgeway, WI. A visitation will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, on Thursday, November 10, 2016, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the mass.

Coy's family would like to thank the staffs of St. Mary's Hospital and the Columbus Health & Rehabilitation Center for all the wonderful care she has received.
