Let Our Family Serve Your Family
Humbly, we believe Cress has a unique responsibility to honor the dignity of the deceased, to aid and counsel the family in time of grief, to encourage remembrance with each family within its own traditions, culture and financial means.
As a company with a long legacy of helping Madison, Wisconsin family and friends experiencing bereavement, we understand that a family needs someone to turn to in a moment’s notice. Someone who truly cares and has the ability and resources to offer exemplary services. Many things have changed since our beginning in 1869, but what hasn’t changed is our commitment to being here every step of the way for the bereaved in our communities when they need us most.
“As we continue to support our community, recently Cress made a donation to the Ronald McDonald Charity House to assist them with programs assisting families. Jennifer Heimdahl, Funeral Director at Cress, presented a generous donation to Deborah Still, Director of Development, RMCH-Madison. Jennifer’s family and some of her close family friends have both benefited from the services of RMHC and she appreciated the opportunity to present the donation.”
Jessica Pharo and Dan Plitzuweit from Cress Funeral Home in McFarland delivered a donation to Sue Steinmetz, one of the managers of the McFarland Food Pantry.
Jessica Pharo and Dan Plitzuweit from our Cress Stoughton location presented a donation to the Stoughton United Methodist food pantry to assist with the growing need for resources. Cress feels very strongly about supporting our veterans. Legion Post #360 in Waunakee has been our partner at many graveside ceremonies for their deceased comrades. Harvey Winn is shown presenting a donation to Jim Steffenhagen and Phil Knudsvig for Legion Post #360, to assist them in supporting local veterans.
