Stoughton- Lois J. Kath, age 87, was called home to heaven on Sunday November 11, 2012. Born in Janesville on September 7, 1925, daughter of the late Alfred G. and Hazel H. (Leeder) Thiede. Member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Janesville where she was baptized, confirmed and later married the late Raymond H. Kath on October 27 1946. Lois graduated from Janesville High School in 1943. She worked as an administrative assistant for Parker Pen and the Janesville School Board. Lois was an active member of the G.U.G. Germania, a national mutual-aid society for German-Americans, Janesville VFW Lady's auxiliary and an avid packer fan who also enjoyed watching her grandchildren succeed in any endeavor be it sports or the arts. Lois' giving spirit was evident every year during her favorite holiday, Christmas, which she always spent surrounded by family and friends. Lois is survived by her three sons, Douglas of Janesville, Gregory (Nancy) of Whitefish Bay, and Kortland (Cindy Seely) of Stoughton; her daughter, Angela Jensen of Stoughton; she leaves behind seven grandchildren, whom she dearly loved, Douglas (Kristin) and Daniel both of Janesville, Blair and Erik, both of Whitefish Bay, and Zach Bronte, Brooke and Stefanie all of Stoughton; as well as two great-grandchildren Deegan and Seth both of Janesville. She is further survived by her two brothers Ronald (Verna) Thiede of Crete IL, and Roger (Alice) Thiede of Hudson; many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Raymond. Lois fully believed that "The love of family is life's greatest blessing." Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 15th, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 700 County Hwy B, Stoughton. The family will greet friends two hours prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Milton Lawn Cemetery in Janesville, WI.

Growing up on Peterson with the Lowell's, Henning's and Kaths was fantastic. We all had the best neighbors and friends. Those times will be cherished and never forgotten...Thanks Lois for being a part of our lives.
Our condolances to Lois's Family may God Bless...

I have very fond memories of Lois. She was like another mother to me in our tight little neighborhood. I spent many hours in their home, so many great times. I loved helping take care of Korky when he was so ill. She was a lovely woman.
