Carla I knew as a child. we grew up in the same neighborhood. We went to church together, Burnette Baptist Church were we song in a contest here in Detroit. I have been trying to find Carla way before now. I wasn't successful in finding her. My heart hurts right now because I really wanted to see her. Rest so sweetly in our father arms. I miss you.
Carla was my neighbor across the hall and even though I only knew her for a few years it was like I knew her for a lifetime. We spent a lot of time together talking abt everything & anything we were crazy in a good way! We spent a lot of time coloring in the adult coloring books & talking abt wht ever we felt like. My cat's Tig & Squeaks loved Carla & she took a liking to them as well, Carla loved life, I am forever greatfull to have had her in my life. She will be missed dearly by myself, my sister,&cat's. Merry we meet, merry we part until we meet again my friend. I will keep u in my heart, miss u dearly your crazy friend Denise.
I am Carla's mother youngest sister... My name is Louise Galloway....I have spent lots of hours with my niece whom l loved dearly. So to not mention me is not okey but I will accept it ...Jackie knows me and how I called to check on her often. Maybe it's because I am one of Jehovas's Witnesses ...who knows...anyway I do love my family and wish them the best...
Your strong personality and yet a gentle soul has been a blessing in many, many lives including my own. My heart is heavy, but I know that you are in Gods choir now, he needed your strong voice in the heavenly choir...... I love you and there will never be another Carla! It saddens my heart but yet I know you are where you need to be!!! Bless all of your family and friends to get through yet another devastating loss!
Although I never had the opportunity to meet Aunt Carla, reading the moments of reflection left by others allowed a small glimpse into the type of woman she was. I'm sure once she arrived to the entrance of the Heavenly Gates, she was met by God as He extended His hand saying "Well done my good and faithful servant". Our prayers are continuely with the family.

To the family of Sister Carla McCants. Carla was a member of S.S. Morris for many years. She had a beautiful voice that helped uplift our spirits. She will be missed. Rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. God bless.
Although many miles kept us apart Carla was often on my mind and always on my heart. Her smile and laugh are gone for now because God knew He needed her for His heavenly garden. Oh, a beautiful flower on earth she was and now her beautiful spirit joins so many others. Miss her we will
Sincere Sympathy Family with Much Love. Kathy
I have so many thoughts runing through my mind, at this moment. My Sister Carla left us way too soon. As kids we didn't have much of a relationship, but as adults, we became pretty close. We shared Birthday's and loved spending The Holidays with friends and our huge extended Family. My Sister loved Flowers so anytime I could surprise her with a bouquet, she was very happy. Carla was small in Stature, but she was Large in Voice and in Spirit. She loved going to Church, singing in the Choir. She also was involved in the Community, from way back she was part of the South Side Neighbor Center, various Food Pantries, and she volunteered at the Goodman Center. Carla had her struggles, made bad choices, but who hasn't. Sometimes she put other's needs ahead of her own, and worried about people she cared about. That's what makes it so hard to know that she is no longer with us. What I'm most proud of is we were able to be there to help her Transition to parts unknown. I will miss that laugh, and her sense of humor. If you knew Carla you know what I'm talking about. We all will miss you dearly my Sister, just know that you will be forever Loved, by all you have touched. So let me be the first to light your Eternal Flame! Your Brother Darryl
