Rainey, Josephine

Madison- Josephine Rainey was born in Earlington, KY on June 7, 1935 unto the union of the late James H. Smith, Sr. and Gracie May Hillard-Smith. She silently closed the doors to this life on Friday, June 26, 2009 in Madison. She leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her memory her children, Preston E. Johnson, Milwaukee, Charlotte E. Johnson, Madison, Raymond Johnson Jr., Milwaukee and Ramona Johnson, Madison; sisters, Mary Walker, Louise Lovett and Shirley O'Kelly; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James H Smith, Jr. and sister Peggy Harris. A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 starting at 11:00 a.m. at the Richmond Hill Estates Club House, 1610 Kings Mill Way, Madison. "Rember me with joy and laughter.
