Construction on the Cress Center at 6021 University Avenue, Middleton, which replaces a traditional funeral home on that site, has entered the final stages and will be available in late February, 2013. There is virtually no part of the the building that hasn’t been touched as part of this major renovation, said Dan Fose, Vice President of Cress Funeral and Cremation Service.
It is a multifunction facility designed to be a comfortable and adaptable venue that will meet the many differing needs of a modern remembrance service. The facility will feature a multi-purpose Great Room for large events; intimate areas, such as the Wisconsin State Room, for reflection; reception spaces for catered functions and community education; and an outdoor fireplace and terrace for a peaceful setting. Within that framework, there is no limit to what a family can do to pay tribute or capture a moment in their family’s history.
With much gratitude and praise to our design and construction partners, Ideal Builders of Madison and J. Stuart Todd, architects and interiors. Based on our experience, both are experts in project managment, creativity and client communication.
